I am an Organist/Keyboardist for a local band in Western New York State. I also play the concertina, the melodica, and Alto Recorder. I am a student at Monroe Community College, majoring in visual communications, graphic arts, and printing. I am rather new to restoring antique radios. It has been a confusing and bumpy ride, but enjoyable and rewarding nonetheless. I have been a model railroader (HO, N, and O27 Gauges)For over a decade, it's probably the subject I am most familiar with, other than art.
I hold traditional values very highly, I like the way things were in the olden days (even though I never was there!). I am highly skeptical of all Mass Media, I cannot take anything a Newspaper says at face value. These days there is no such thing as non-biased, objective media. I love art deco and gothic architecture.
I was born and raised pentecostal. I make a continuous effort to read my bible every day. I am fascinated with the spiritual world. I like to take everything that happens historically and spiritually and compare it to the bible.
I enjoy listening to organ music, whether it be classical, theater, rock, or jazz (although the latter can be tedious at times). I own and play a Hammond M101. I play it everyday, sometimes all day when nobody's home. I love making the furniture rattle with low, undulating chords. I play a lot of hymns, but I also write music too.
I used to be an avid gamer, but I have mostly grown out of it. There are a select few games that I play once and a while, but I spent so much of my youth playing video games that I eventually got really bored with them and moved on to other things. Although I am still anxious to play Medal of Honor Airborne, I am not obsessing about it like I would have for any Medal of Honor 6 years ago.
I am an artist. To others I am a good one, but to my siblings that doesn't seem to be so. Growing up in a family of artists you learn real quick what your faults as an artist are.
I have a well-established techinique.
First, I sketch out the image in pencil. Then go over it with a sharpie, a micron pen, or any good quality ink. Then I either add black and white in pencil or color with prismacolor pencils. My mother uses almost exclusively those, and the preference seems to have stuck to me as well.
I scorn political correctness. It is bane to intellegent communication and is really a double standard. Don't make fun of certain religions. It's not polite. But you can make fun of Christians, those are OK. Any Christian should understand where I'm coming from.
I am a political conservative. If you don't know now you will soon learn. NOTE: I am NOT a Republican - I am a conservative. I am a member of the conservative party. And I am certainly not a democrat.
Sometimes it's hard to be a scorned minority, especially in a community college. But then I take comfort in the fact that two thirds of the world is stupid and ignorant.
